Answer: Wood screws and nuts and bolts. It goes together fairly easily and fast. The directions are pretty clear.

Question: Can i use the dry sink as a water basin for watering days (setting my plants in the sink filled with water)? or is the sink best used only for soil?

Answer: We've used it for a variety of things, wet and dry. Can't see why you couldn't use it that way.
